About the role
Build and expand APIs and services, work with partners to launch new markets, payment methods, and capabilities, and make significant decisions for the company.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and maintain high-volume, enterprise transactional systems.
- Build new API and platform features, focusing on the backend, such as integrating new payment methods or fraud detection vendors.
- Address developer and operational pain points in APIs for internal and external use.
- Collaborate with team members to develop effort estimates and plan product implementation based on requirements.
- Participate in and lead code reviews.
- Help improve testing and CICD practices.
- Work with a global team to foster a growth-oriented culture.
Qualifications
- Experience with backend development, API design, and system architecture.
- Ability to decompose complex problems and work collaboratively.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and scaling production software.
- Prior experience with business impact prioritization and product development.
