About the role
Autumn is building modern billing infrastructure for AI companies. The role is a backend Founding Engineer who loves to build for developers and has strong product taste. Founding team member, full-time in London with potential move to SF later.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship backend features for the billing infrastructure (payments, credit systems, pricing)
- Collaborate with founders and early team to shape product and platform
- Contribute to product decisions with strong user focus and developer experience
- Participate in in-person work at the London office with potential relocation to SF
- Engage in the interview process (founder calls, technical interview, one day work trial)
Qualifications
- Experience: Any (new grads ok)
- Built something with users before
- Interest in starting a company one day
- Backend engineering focus; ability to work hands-on in a startup environment

Billing infrastructure for AI
Autumn is open-source infrastructure over Stripe that allows AI startups to build their pricing plans quickly, and flexibly. We act as your app's DB and manage who's paying for what, track usage and manage customer feature access. YC companies use us because we make it easy to handle common pricing models like usage-based, credits, subscriptions, rollovers and more in 3 functions and no webhooks. As you scale, you get reliable billing, that you can change however you want without wrangling code (we handle versioning, migrations etc), and manage custom pricing too. Everything you could down the line (credits, multiple subscription groups, rollovers, referral program, usage analytics, centralized team billing etc), you can drop in at any point.
