Taipei Software Engineer
About the role
Taipei-based engineering role for RentHop’s first-ever Taipei office, focusing on data-driven projects and backend development experience with MySQL and PHP.
Responsibilities
- Lead data-driven projects leveraging RentHop’s datasets (housing inventory, transactions, tax histories, liens)
- Conduct data studies using U.S. census data, city open data, and RealtyHop databases
- Experiment with mortgage and property tax data to aid investors
- Perform property valuations and present results using metrics such as cap rates, IRR, and equity multiple
- Contribute to revamping growth, pricing strategies, and the HopScore pricing algorithm
- Collaborate with founders and cross-functional teams in Taipei and potentially New York
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer science
- Working knowledge of Excel, HTML, PHP, SQL
- Fluent in English; able to discuss technical terms in English
- Experience in real estate or real estate finance is a plus
