About the role

Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to lead technical initiatives across the minerals supply chain software, architect and deliver end-to-end systems, mentor engineers, and collaborate with ML/LLM teams to build an operating system for Mariana's mineral processing facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design and architecture of internal software tools, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability while working with engineering, construction, and operations teams.
  • Architect and implement complex data integrations with enterprise engineering/construction tools (e.g., Autodesk), establishing API design and data synchronization best practices.
  • Drive the development of sophisticated web applications and platforms used by internal teams and partners, making key technical decisions on frameworks, infrastructure, and deployment strategies.
  • Conduct thorough technical evaluations of third-party software solutions, providing build-vs-buy and integration recommendations.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives with ML engineers to design and implement production-ready ML, RL, and LLM-powered features, with robust error handling and scalable architecture.
  • Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and establish engineering best practices across the team.
  • Participate in technical strategy discussions and contribute to long-term technology roadmap planning.
  • Own production reliability and performance optimization for critical systems.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of delivering complex, production systems.
  • Deep expertise across the full stack, capable of architectural decisions spanning frontend, backend, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong experience translating business requirements from non-technical stakeholders into robust technical solutions and communicating complex concepts clearly.
  • Proven leadership experience (formal management, technical lead, or cross-functional initiative ownership).
  • Excellence in system design and architecture, including distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and bringing structure to complex challenges.
  • Experience with modern web frameworks (React/Vue), backend technologies (Node.js/Python/Go), and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
  • Experience with data engineering, ETL pipelines, or ML/AI integration is a plus.
  • Startup experience is helpful but not required.
  • Domain experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, or capital projects is beneficial but not required.
