Medical Fellow - Human Frontier Collective (UK)
About the role
Remote independent contractor fellowship (1099) for approximately six months with potential extension. Focus on designing, evaluating, and interpreting advanced generative AI systems in a medical context, collaborating with AI labs and contributing to publications.
Responsibilities
- Collaborative Work: Design complex clinical scenarios, evaluate model decision-making for safety and accuracy, and shape reasoning frameworks through structured, example-driven feedback.
- Join the HFC Community: Build an interdisciplinary network of innovators and thought leaders advancing frontier AI.
- Contribute to Research Publications: Co-author technical reports and research papers with Scale’s research team.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD, DO) with board certification; open to residents, practicing clinicians, or those with extensive clinical experience.
- Specialties: Internal medicine, emergency medicine, radiology, surgery, psychiatry, and related fields.
- Strong clinical reasoning and writing skills; ability to assess complex, nuanced, or edge-case scenarios.
- Detail-oriented, innovative mindset; interest in collaboration and AI is a plus (not required).
