About the role

Fellowship opportunity to join a remote, contractor-based expert network focused on advancing frontier AI through collaboration, projects, and publications with Scale AI and its affiliated lab and platform.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in AI/ML projects with Scale AI and affiliated lab/platform (e.g., building AI safety and policy guardrails, designing, reviewing, and optimizing PyTorch models, evaluating ML code and AI-generated implementations for efficiency and correctness).
  • Collaborate with Scale’s research team to co-author technical reports and research papers.
  • Engage in project matching and contribute to selected projects across partners (e.g., evaluating AI models, designing experiments, building RL environments, co-authoring research papers, and more).
  • Attend newsletters, discussion channels, virtual sessions, IRL events, and related community activities.

Qualifications

  • PhDs, postdoctoral researchers, and professors with domain expertise in STEM fields (e.g., Computer Science, Machine Learning, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Humanities or related disciplines).
  • Detail-oriented, innovative thinker with a passion for applied AI research and collaboration.
