About the role
Kino AI is building Cursor for video editing, serving top studios and YouTubers, focusing on improving productivity and enjoyment in video editing through AI and innovative tech.
Responsibilities
- Performant full stack web development in React, rendering large amounts of data
- Development of asynchronous AI inference pipelines that improve Kino’s understanding of user footage
- Systematic improvements to the Kino Agent, which edits footage on the user’s behalf via the Chat panel
- Improvement of Kino’s integration with editing software like Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Davinci Resolve
- Work with Postgres databases to ensure real-time sync
Qualifications
- 3+ years of engineering experience
- Strong experience in React and web development
- Excellent understanding of web infrastructure (CORS, HTTPS, CDNs)
- Good intuition regarding customer priorities (search quality, video playback, edit quality, snappiness)
- Experience in video, graphics, and GPU intensive workloads is a plus
