About the role

Design, operate, and evolve core infrastructure including Kubernetes, deployment pipelines, networking, and platform services at a fast-paced startup.

Responsibilities

  • Own core infrastructure such as Kubernetes-based platform, cloud resources, and environment isolation.
  • Build deployment and tooling layers, including CI/CD pipelines, rollout strategies, and internal tools.
  • Own reliability and operations by defining SLOs/SLIs, improving observability, participating in incident response, and blameless post-mortems.
  • Shape networking and security, managing VPCs, ingress/egress, service meshes, DNS, TLS, IAM, secret management, and designing secure deployment patterns.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience building and operating production infrastructure on major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production, including cluster upgrades, autoscaling, multi-environment setups, Helm packaging.
  • Expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Pulumi, Terraform, CDK.
  • Strong scripting and programming skills in at least one modern language (TypeScript, Go, Python).
  • Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry.
  • Proven track record of reliability ownership, incident management, and tooling development.
