About the role
Seeking an experienced Principal Product Designer to lead design for data integration experiences, utilizing AI tools, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to create cohesive user experiences from data ingestion to customer journey.
Responsibilities
- Design Leadership & Strategy: Define and execute comprehensive design strategy across the platform, ensuring cohesive user experiences and collaborating with product managers and engineering leads.
- Lead design thinking sessions and facilitate cross-functional workshops.
- Manage and mentor design team members, guiding their careers and skills development.
- Create seamless experiences for technical users and business stakeholders.
- Develop sophisticated information architecture for large-scale data exploration and analysis.
- Conduct user research with data professionals to understand pain points.
- Present design concepts and rationale to executive leadership and external stakeholders.
- Be accountable for end-to-end design within high-impact product areas, from concept to implementation.
- Partner with PMs to craft systematic solutions that connect user needs, data, business goals, and strategies.
- Collaborate with engineers to build impactful features within technology constraints.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of product design experience with at least 3 years in senior or principal roles.
- Fluency with AI-native workflows: prompt design, evaluation, chaining, agents/tools, RAG, model/runtime constraints.
- Hands-on prototyping experience with real data, connecting prototypes to APIs/SDKs, lightweight code, or no/low-code tools.
- Strong user research skills: planning and running studies, synthesizing signals into insights.
- Portfolio demonstrating ownership of complex, data-heavy, or AI-powered experiences.
- Excellent collaboration & communication skills, leading stakeholder management and presenting to executives.
