About the role

Engineering Manager for the Experimentation product area at Spotify, leading a distributed team in Europe to build and scale Confidence, Spotify’s platform for safe, rapid iteration and data-driven decision making through experimentation and SaaS offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, coach and develop the careers of a team of engineers
  • Be responsible for high-quality deliveries
  • Partner with product managers to support prioritizations and product visions
  • Support the engineering team and work with Staff engineers to formulate the technical strategy needed to deliver on our vision
  • Do hands on engineering work from time to time
  • Primary goal: support a highly effective engineering team delivering an amazing product

Qualifications

  • Senior individual contributor (or has been) with strong people skills and leadership experience
  • Experience developing distributed systems that scale to millions of users
  • Experience with data warehouses and data processing at scale
  • Experience working on commercial SaaS products and taking features from zero to one
  • Brave learner who sees unfamiliar territories as growth opportunities
  • Passion for software engineering best practices and impact on large-scale tech problems
  • Care deeply about product quality and uphold high standards
  • Holds AI as a tool to improve effectiveness in work
