About the role
Role focused on developing and validating external loads, dynamic simulations, and aeroelastic analyses for Hermeus’ supersonic & hypersonic aircraft programs, partnering with aerodynamics and structures teams to support aircraft development from loads definition through flutter evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Solve structural static and dynamic problems through hand calculations, finite element analysis, or test data
- External loads definition from flight maneuvers, gust, takeoff and landing for use in structural design and analysis
- Generation of vehicle finite element model to assess static and dynamic load cases
- Characterization of aeroelastic effects such as flutter
- Definition of random vibration environments from buffet and engine dynamics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field
- 1+ years of job or project experience in loads and dynamics analysis, ideally in aerospace or a similar high-performance engineering field
- Strong understanding of engineering first principles
- Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams
