About the role

Backend Engineer role at Metorial focusing on distributed systems, TypeScript/Go expertise, with AWS and DevOps experience; AI tools knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

  • You must have a good understanding of distributed systems. Experience at TypeScript and Go. Rust knowledge is a plus. Good understanding of AI agents (ideally MCP and tool calls). Devops understanding (AWS + HashiStack). You should be able to write good code with and without AI tools.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience
  • Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Git, Go, JavaScript, SQL, Microservices, Serverless
  • Experience with distributed systems
  • Knowledge of TypeScript and Go; Rust is a plus
  • Familiarity with AI agents (MCP and tool calls) and DevOps (AWS + HashiStack)
