About the role

Experienced Sourcing Manager specializing in Men's Suiting to lead sourcing efforts across China and Southeast Asia (SEA), building and managing supplier relationships to meet quality, sustainability, and cost-efficiency standards for Quince’s Mens Suiting products in a fast-paced DTC environment.

Responsibilities

  • Scout for vendor partners in China/Hong Kong or SEA who can manufacture high quality Men's Suiting products with fast production lead time
  • Pitching and on-boarding vendor partners in speed with clear criteria around the initial test period and ensuring their ability to scale if test period is successful
  • Drive excellence in partner operations for existing supplier relationships within current Quince categories, while expanding a redundant supplier base improving Quince's product costs, quality, and commercial terms for sustainable sales and profitability
  • Manage capacity at a supplier and style level to keep pace with company growth and scale
  • Material Sourcing: source materials that can improve product cost, quality and speed as options for scaling orders; negotiate with suppliers throughout the supply chain from T1 to T2 & T3 mill/vendor partners
  • Open costing expertise: build a clear strategy for costing negotiations with a validated cost structure/template independent of vendor data
  • Act as an ambassador to partners in all interactions, building and deepening relationships and driving continuous improvement
  • Drive for higher hit-rate launches through product excellence and faster development times by identifying bottlenecks and proposing solutions
  • Have strategic, commercial understanding of the sourcing landscape and trade benefits to improve product costs and speed to market for USA, Canada, and Europe
  • Lead at strategic (30,000 ft) and operational (3,000 ft) levels with diverse stakeholders; be scrappy to redefine processes and SOPs for speed and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years in sourcing and merchandising in Men’s apparel with high-end national brands in the US & Europe, specifically in Men’s Suiting.
  • Consumer-focused and ambitious with strategic leadership and strong personal impact
  • Self-motivated, quick independent learner
  • Detail-oriented with data-driven decision making
  • Analytical mindset focused on execution, process improvement, and brand enhancement
  • Curiosity and adaptability to changing circumstances
  • Supply Chain or Operations background with solid retail industry understanding
  • Collaborative, strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Resilient under pressure and bold in challenging the status quo
