About the role

Sourcing Director responsible for end-to-end supply chain and sourcing strategy for women’s Dress & Skirt category, onboard new manufacturing partners to Quince’s D2C model, and drive operational excellence, growth, and cost efficiency across APAC, IST, and EMEA regions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the end-to-end supply chain and sourcing strategy for the women categories (Dress & Skirts across different fabrications, woven, knit and sweater knit), including a multi-sourcing approach to ensure resilience.
  • Onboard new manufacturing partners to the Quince direct-to-consumer (D2C) model and provide coaching on operating within a rapid replenishment, M2C (Manufacturer-to-Consumer) environment.
  • Educate partners on the Quince Operating System (OS), covering: Operational Excellence (rapid lead times, consumer-oriented approach), Financial Model (high ROIC), Technical Integration (Vendor Portal).
  • Drive continuous improvement to achieve KPIs: Quality (defect rate < 0.5%), Speed & Accuracy (replenishment lead time < 14 days), Availability (in-stock rate > 99%), Financial Impact (margin-accretive performance).
  • Lead Catalog Expansion with Merchandising and Product Development (PD) to launch new styles and colors approved via NPC process.
  • Conduct structured Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with partner management focusing on alignment, performance, improvements, and future objectives.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of director-level strategic sourcing, procurement, or supplier management experience with major US-based retailers.
  • Extensive global network of partner factories in Dress & Skirts across fabrics (woven, knit, sweater knit) including APAC, IST, and EMEA regions.
  • Product-obsessed with ability to leverage factories/vendor expertise to design, cost engineer, and bring products to market; thorough knowledge of key materials localized in region.
  • GM mindset with supply chain and manufacturing (lean/JIT) experience.
  • Deep understanding of cost for the categories and ability to drive cost savings through clean sheets and negotiation tactics.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical, execution-focused, problem-solving, and capable of brand enhancement.
  • Continuous learner, curious, proactive, and open to new perspectives; tech/AI savvy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
