Machine Learning Fellow - Human Frontier Collective
About the role
Fellowship position in the Human Frontier Collective focused on applied AI research, collaboration with Scale AI, and co-authoring research publications. Fully remote independent contractor role with flexible project-based engagement.
Responsibilities
- Join an exclusive expert network and participate in AI/ML projects with Scale AI and affiliated labs/platforms.
- Design, review, and optimize PyTorch models; evaluate ML code and AI-generated implementations for efficiency and correctness.
- Co-author technical reports and research papers with Scale’s research team.
Qualifications
- PhD, or postdoctoral research experience, in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related field; or senior industry experience in ML or related field.
- Strong proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and MLOps tools (Docker).
- Familiarity with LLM frameworks (LangChain) is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, innovative thinker with a passion for applied AI research and collaboration.
