About the role

Store Leadership / Full Time / On-site position at Rook Coffee in Monmouth County, NJ. The MIT assists the store manager with daily operations and learns to independently operate a Rook Coffee location.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and maintaining a welcoming and fair work environment for customers and team members.
  • Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, and retention of top talent.
  • Partner with the store manager to ensure ongoing training and development of the store team with the goal of continuous improvement and individual growth.
  • Learn all store functions, including customer service, team leadership, inventory, cash management and vendor relationships.
  • Maintain high standards for food and workplace safety.
  • Work closely and communicate with area managers as well as various store support partners.
  • Drive customer service/customer engagement by training the team on Rook’s GRINDS service model.
  • Learn how to make data-driven decisions around ordering supplies and coffee to ensure the freshest product is always available to customers.
  • Drive top-line revenue by focusing on customer retention, product availability and world-class execution.
  • Work in tandem with the store manager to execute all company initiatives, including product launches and marketing directives.

Qualifications

  • Open availability including nights, weekends and holidays
  • A genuine interest in becoming a store manager at Rook Coffee
  • Willingness to travel to any Rook Coffee location
  • Positive mental attitude and outlook; friendly and genuine personality
  • Experience in a supervisory role in a food or retail establishment for a minimum of six months, with proven and consistent results
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to function as part of a cohesive team
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift or move a minimum of 45 lbs
  • Ability to remain calm and organized during peak, high-intensity business hours
  • Ability to stand for an extended period of time
