About the role

Role focused on writing functional SystemVerilog behavioral models for custom mixed-signal circuits, collaborating with circuit design and DV teams, leveraging data analysis in Python/MATLAB, and validating models against real circuits using simulations and co-simulation.

Responsibilities

  • Write functional models of custom mixed-signal circuits in SystemVerilog with appropriate detail and non-idealities
  • Collaborate with circuit design teams to understand circuit functionality
  • Collaborate with DV teams to integrate hooks for verification
  • Analyze circuit data in Python/MATLAB for model fitting
  • Assess model performance by profiling and comparison to actual circuits
  • Run simulations and formal equivalence checks to ensure model accuracy
  • Enhance modeling methodology, improve functional coverage, optimize modeling flows, and enable new tools to identify issues in custom circuits

Qualifications

  • BS degree in technical discipline with minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent knowledge of digital logic gates, clocking and state elements
  • Excellent knowledge of writing behavioral code in SystemVerilog
  • Solid understanding of logic and behavioral simulations
  • Ability to read custom circuit schematics and understand functionality
  • Familiarity with mixed-signal blocks (PLLs/DLLs/SERDES/Sensors/Data-converters)
  • Understanding of SPICE simulations and SystemVerilog/SPICE co-simulations
  • Understanding of timing synchronous digital logic
  • Ability to write scripts in PERL/Python to automate repetitive tasks
  • Familiarity with digital signal processing and numerical analysis
  • Familiarity with probability and statistics
