About the role

As a Genius, you combine extensive functional troubleshooting skills with an ability to inspire excitement for Apple’s products and services. You deliver exceptional service, educate customers on repair options, perform repairs on Apple products, mentor team members, and help maintain an inclusive environment aligned with Apple’s values.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and resolve service concerns for Apple hardware and software.
  • Provide excellent service by understanding customer needs, identifying ownership opportunities, presenting product/service recommendations, and educating customers on relevant ways to buy.
  • Educate customers about repair options and Apple offerings; perform repairs on all Apple products serviced in the store.
  • Support leadership in providing timely resolution to customer escalations.
  • Contribute to an inclusive environment and foster team knowledge by mentoring and modeling exceptional service.
  • Work with team leaders to identify recurring repair problems and provide feedback to Apple.
  • Support and educate the broader team by sharing knowledge, experiences, and insights.
  • Handle, lift, and move merchandise safely.
  • Other tasks as needed, including supporting customer-facing activities on or off the sales floor.

Qualifications

  • Experience in retail or sales, or related work experience.
  • Visual inspection and fine motor skills to safely perform hardware repairs.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a customer service environment.
