About the role

Quality Engineer role on Apple's Mobile Apps team responsible for testing and QA coordination for the Apple Store App and related mobile experiences. Focus on creating and executing test plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high-quality iOS applications in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding and analyzing requirements
  • Creating and executing test plans and test cases
  • Advanced iOS testing to provide clear, concise information to Engineering teams
  • Interacting daily with cross-functional teams across Apple including iOS software and hardware engineering, Apple Online Store and Apple Retail
  • Testing on iOS Mobile Applications
  • Own quality for a complete functional area of an application or product
  • Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams (QA and Engineering)
  • Debugging, troubleshooting, and applying analytical thinking to assess project quality
  • Ensure adherence to QA methodologies and practices

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in testing
  • Deep understanding of software QA methodologies & practices
  • Skilled at debugging, troubleshooting, applying analytical thinking skills to systematically assess project quality
  • Knowledge of Client/Server Architecture and mobile E-Commerce domain
  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks
  • MS/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • iOS Mobile Application testing
  • Proficient at balancing multiple efforts simultaneously and meeting strict deadlines
  • Ability to own quality for a complete functional area of an application or product
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in global, cross-functional teams (QA and Engineering)
  • Proven bug detection and regression skills
  • Easily adaptable in a dynamic, constantly evolving, and demanding environment
