Graphics Cache Hierarchy Design Verification Engineer
About the role
Role inside Apple's Silicon Technologies group focused on pre-silicon RTL verification of graphics memory subsystem units (caches, MMU, interconnects, and link interfaces) for GPU designs. Requires strong computer architecture background and verification methodology experience; entails test plan authoring, developing verification software, and close collaboration with design teams across sub-blocks and subsystems.
Responsibilities
- Author test plans for block or subsystem level functionality
- Architecting and developing highly complex verification software components
- Work closely with design team members in debugging and closing the blocks you own
- Work on test benches ranging from sub-blocks, blocks to subsystems containing multiple blocks
Qualifications
- Computer Architecture or Computer systems coursework
- Experience with Hardware Description Languages like Verilog or SystemVerilog
- Experience with Object Oriented Programming Languages and Data Structures
- BS degree in CE, CS or EE
- Background in CPU or GPU architecture
- Good fundamental software and programming skills
- Design Verification coursework with experience in verification languages such as SystemVerilog
- Experience with HDL simulators and waveform viewers
- Experience with caches, address translation units
- Experience with Perl, Ruby, Shell scripting, Makefiles
