About the role

Internship in Apple's Platform Engineering team focusing on pre-silicon validation, RTL simulation, emulation, and FPGA prototyping for upcoming Apple SoCs. Build tooling, contribute to FPGA-based platforms, and gain ownership with mentorship while working across time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Work on real challenges the team faces on upcoming products, supporting validation of various functional sub-systems and blocks in the pre-silicon domain
  • Build tooling and automation in Python or C/C++ to make validation fast, repeatable, and trustworthy
  • Contribute to the FPGA-based platforms and equipment control that let verification of complex systems long before chip arrival
  • Stand up and debug pre-silicon environments where future Apple SoCs boot and run for the first time, helping diagnose issues

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or C/C++
  • Solid grasp of digital design and computer architecture fundamentals
  • Track record of picking up unfamiliar technology quickly and working independently
  • English language fluency
