About the role
Drive personalization, recommendation, and marketplace improvements through advanced data modeling and ML solutions.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical lead within the data team to improve recommendation and search algorithms.
- Develop proprietary AI/ML solutions reflecting marketplace dynamics.
- Identify and solve complex business problems using data methods.
- Establish best practices for training, development, and maintenance of data models.
- Deploy trained models into production, ensuring reliable, observable deployment into Snowflake using DBT, and maintain version control via Git.
- Mine user data to identify opportunities for personalization improvements and track KPIs.
- Develop and maintain data models in Snowflake for analytics and reporting.
- Use Python to create ML models and structure data flows.
- Develop user-to-user mapping and utilize search technologies like Algolia and AWS OpenSearch.
- Analyze message content to detect fraudulent activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data solutions with business goals.
Qualifications
- Graduate degree in data science, analytics, mathematics, machine learning, computer science, or related field (preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in a data or quantitative role.
- Experience in marketplace, e-commerce, or fashion/retail domains (preferred).
- Experience with web and app product environments (preferred).
- Strong communication skills for crossfunctional partner engagement.
