About the role

Senior Manager, People Business Partner (PBP) at Fieldguide, a remote-first vertical AI platform for audit and advisory firms. Focus on talent alignment with business objectives, coaching managers, employee relations, culture, and engagement. Initially PBP to all Fieldguide, with growth of the function as the company scales.

Responsibilities

  • Partner to the Business: act as a strategic thought partner and maintain organizational health dashboards
  • High-Performance Coach: coach managers on performance conversations, career development, policy guidance, employee relations, and issue resolution
  • Team Mentality: contribute as needed and support peers
  • Data-based storytelling: collaborate with People Ops to translate data into actionable leadership insights
  • Prioritize Efficiency: streamline processes and document to improve organizational effectiveness
  • Operate with a Bias to Action: launch, gather feedback, iterate quickly
  • Relentless Problem-Solver: overcome obstacles with solutions
  • Strong Sense of Ownership: commitment to team and company success
  • Global Experience: navigate working with globally dispersed teams
  • Systems: experience with Rippling, 15/5, and Notion
  • Performance & Talent Development: calibration, goal-setting, manager training; implement impact-based frameworks; identify leadership development needs
  • Culture, Engagement & Employee Listening: pulse surveys, feedback channels, track engagement and retention risks with mitigation plans
  • Employee Experience & Events: plan and execute engagement programs, onboarding curriculum, and employee events

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in a People / HR role at scale
  • Experience as a trusted advisor to executives and managers
  • Strong coaching and stakeholder management skills
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to tell the story behind the numbers
  • Experience supporting global teams and cross-functional collaboration
  • Familiarity with HR systems (Rippling, 15/5, Notion) and documentation practices
  • US citizen/visa required (US citizen/visa only)
