About the role

Role within the Analog & Mixed-Signal (AMS) team to design and deliver hard IPs for Apple products, focusing on SERDES, high-speed data converters, PLLs, memory interfaces, clocking circuits, and other AMS blocks. Responsible for architecture, design, mask data, production/test planning, and design reviews in a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead ownership development of analog & mixed-signal circuits including SERDES, high-speed data converters, PLLs and other analog/mixed-signal circuits
  • Architect and design innovative analog/mixed-signal circuits in collaboration with multi-functional teams
  • Drive mask design to implement layout view of designs
  • Coordinate with IP consumers, help define production/bench-level test plans
  • Conduct design reviews of blocks with peers/management to ensure targets and requirements are met

Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years experience
  • In-depth knowledge of analog mixed-signal concepts like mismatch mitigation, linearity, stability, low-power and low-noise techniques
  • Experience with high-speed digital circuits (e.g., serializer, de-serializer, counters, dividers, etc.)
  • Design experience in advanced CMOS technologies such as FinFET technology
  • Hands-on experience with AMS IC development from definition to high-volume production including layout supervision, bench evaluation, correlation, and characterization
  • Experience in lab testing of mixed-signal circuits and using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc. for validation
  • Ability to build VerilogA/AMS behavioral models, analyze and lead characterization data from lab and volume testing
  • Ability to drive results, manage complexity and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to solve cross-functional problems in a team
  • Solid understanding of analog/mixed-signal blocks including ADCs, DACs, SERDES, PLLs, DLLs, filters, bandgap, biasing circuits, LDOs, amplifiers, comparators, switched-cap circuits and oscillators
