About the role

Engineer to develop Apple's compute SoCs power management system, defining microarchitecture, implementing HW (RTL/UPF), and integrating it into a multi-chip system. Work with partner design teams, physical design, verification, platform architecture and software teams to define power system microarchitecture and implement HW.

Responsibilities

  • Define uArch spec, implement HW including RTL and UPF coding, synthesize digital design to latest process nodes
  • Participate in the implementation process
  • Work with partner Design teams, Physical design, verification, Platform Architecture and Software teams to define the power system micro architecture
  • Develop power management techniques including power management IC control schemes, chip power state transitions, SoC boot process and HW security solutions
  • Power management system integration in a complex multi chip system
  • Collaborate with design, verification and software teams to ensure successful integration and validation

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in digital design (preferably in SoC)
  • BS.c/ MS.c in EE/ CE
  • Strong Verilog/System Verilog skills
  • Familiar with advanced design practices (clock/voltage domain crossing, low power design and DFT) - Advantage
  • Familiar with various chip development tools (lint, synthesis, STA)
  • Familiar with verification methodologies
  • Experienced with scripting using common languages (Python, Perl, TCL)
