About the role

Manager focusing on security research and leadership within Apple’s Security Engineering & Architecture (SEAR) team. Leads a group that conducts vulnerability research, develops proof-of-concepts, reviews security designs, and builds tools to assess and secure low-level technologies (iOS/macOS kernel, boot ROMs, firmware, hardware). Works across hardware and software teams and vendors to influence product security across Apple devices.

Responsibilities

  • Proven experience managing security teams.
  • Extraordinary leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong knowledge of embedded security.
  • Knowledge of iOS and macOS security architecture.
  • Knowledge of wireless security.

Qualifications

  • Experience in dealing with complex systems and bringing ideas to the level of products.
  • Leading security assessments in platform security, hardware/software boundary, wireless technologies, etc.
  • Conducting vulnerability research, developing proof-of-concepts, reviewing designs and specifications of security features, creating innovative tools, consulting with other teams on hardware and software.
