About the role

Founding forward deployed engineer role at Hyperspell, a YC-backed company building memory and context layer for AI agents. You will own customer onboarding, build features end-to-end, and shape product direction while working closely with founders.

Responsibilities

  • In the first 30 days, take over new accounts, onboard customers to Hyperspell, and build and ship smaller features they request.
  • In 60 days, ship internal tools and dashboards to help manage workflows. Deploy custom AI agents to assist customers.
  • In 90 days, own larger projects that touch all parts of the stack and affect both current and future customers.
  • Evolving the world’s first self-integrating SDK: Improving how developers connect their apps to Hyperspell.
  • Owning relationships with customers, responding to feature requests and bug reports, and fixing issues.
  • Customer deep-dives to understand business, data, users, and opportunities to solve unseen problems.
  • Full-stack feature ownership: building integrations, API endpoints, dashboards, and analytics end-to-end.
  • Shaping product by translating customer pain points into roadmap inputs.
  • Technical enablement: helping customers architect implementations and maximize platform value.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience product engineering
  • Fluency in Python and TypeScript
  • Clarity of thought, excellent communication
  • A genuine joy in helping other engineers succeed
  • Ability to work on location in San Francisco
