About the role

Embedded Software Engineer on the NextGen OS team building Applied Intuition's operating system stack for future vehicles, developing an embedded firmware platform and RTOS using Rust and Pigweed, and influencing architectural decisions as an early team member.

Responsibilities

  • Build a modern, safety-certified Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) and embedded platform
  • Work with Pigweed developers on pw_kernel to complete it and bring it up on internal hardware platforms
  • Integrate the Rust toolchain into our CI/CD pipeline
  • Architect and develop highly reliable embedded software

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working on embedded devices
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong background in embedded software development using C/C++ and assembly languages
  • Hands-on experience with RTOS, Linux, and/or ARM systems
  • Debugging skills in real world environments
