About the role

Multifaceted security engineer role embedded in the product development lifecycle to secure the Applied Intuition product platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams and improving security across architectures, pipelines, and incident response.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze applications and system architectures from inception to release; identify security vulnerabilities; integrate security controls; conduct architecture reviews and threat modeling.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and utilize AI-assisted testing to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Mature vulnerability management program and drive risk-contextualized remediation with development teams.
  • Provide guidance on secure coding practices and security best practices to developers.
  • Collaborate with incident response teams and participate in security incident calls to create remediation suggestions.
  • Mature automated SAST and DAST tooling to secure development frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Security Engineer, Application Security Engineer, or Product Security Engineer in a large-scale software organization.
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Typescript); knowledge of security tools (Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP); familiarity with security protocols and encryption methods.
  • Experience using AI to identify, validate, and scale security programs.
  • Deep knowledge of container security (Kubernetes), compute constraints, and securing ephemeral workloads across AWS, GCP, Azure, and on-premises environments.
  • Hands-on experience deploying, tuning, and automating SAST, DAST, and CI/CD pipeline security tools.
  • Operational experience configuring and driving remediation through cloud security platforms.
  • Proven experience securing large-scale platform migrations and managing security lifecycles of legacy and modern microservices.
