About the role

Role focused on maintaining and enhancing the reliability of Applied Intuition's vehicle fleets across multiple projects by optimizing operational hardware and software (sensor suites and onboard compute systems) and conducting rigorous validation testing throughout the vehicle lifecycle to enable scalable fleet operations.

Responsibilities

  • Improve reliability of vehicle fleet uptime by performing root cause analysis on trending vehicle issues
  • Implement long term fixes through designing fleet scalable solutions
  • Create, implement, and maintain robust testing procedures, diagnostic tools, and operational metrics to maximize fleet uptime, safety, and overall vehicle stability
  • Track down why systems fail or underperform out on the road, and use those findings to help us build stronger, more reliable vehicles
  • Work cross functionally with engineering and operations teams for escalations and collaboration on reliability improvements to our fleets with demo and testing performance

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
  • 5+ years experience working with automotive hardware and software
  • Experience with hardware reliability and testing
  • Experience with AV components (LiDAR, RADAR, Cameras, etc.)
