About the role

Freeform seeks uncommon technical leaders to collaborate across engineering development, manufacturing operations, and high-volume production to build AI-native manufacturing systems. Responsibilities

  • Lead hardware development programs or production systems; architect complex physical systems; contribute to industrial automation, robotics, or high-mix manufacturing initiatives; scale R&D operations into production or stand up factories/test facilities; design and implement MRP/ERP; participate in end-to-end product realization from concept to production; provide hands-on leadership while setting vision and diving into details.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical foundation in engineering or manufacturing with deep expertise in at least one domain and fluency across disciplines
  • Experience architecting or building complex physical systems from first principles to final integration
  • Proven leadership in fast-paced, technically ambitious environments
  • Bias for action, clarity of thought, passion for solving real-world problems
  • Comfort with ambiguity, zero-to-one builds, and building the plane as we fly it
  • Hands-on approach for setting a vision and contributing to details
  • Bonus: scaling R&D to production, standing up factories/tests, industrial automation/robotics/high-mix manufacturing, MRP/ERP design, metal additive manufacturing
