About the role

Software Screening & Integration Engineer on the Generative AI Experiences Software team responsible for reviewing and triaging bugs, analyzing logs, integrating software with the operating system, and developing tooling to support engineering processes in a fast-moving GenAI environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support developers for triage and analysis of issues
  • Work with others to complete analysis, evaluations and design alternatives and to implement process improvements
  • Collaborate on tools that support and automate processes for screening issues in our software
  • Maintain branching for software repositories
  • Maintain documentation of features for team
  • Monitor communications in screening chat rooms
  • Run reviews for development teams to keep issues moving through our system
  • Escalate appropriately issues found in screening to development engineers

Qualifications

  • BS CS/CE/EE or equivalent experience
  • Advanced experience with version control systems, specifically git
  • Experience in programming or scripting (ie. Bash, Shell or Python)
  • Strong software engineering and development life cycle knowledge
  • Passion for debugging and problem solving
  • Experience with Xcode and Apple internal development practices
  • Basic understanding of macOS and iOS
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Track record of being proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well organized
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work accordingly
