About the role

As a Genius, you combine extensive functional troubleshooting skills with an ability to inspire excitement for Apple’s products and services. You deliver exceptional service, educate customers on repair options and Apple offerings, and perform repairs on Apple products serviced in the store. You mentor team members and contribute to an inclusive, customer-focused environment in the Retail Store.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and resolve service concerns for Apple hardware and software.
  • Provide excellent service to Apple customers by understanding their needs, identifying ownership opportunities, presenting product and service recommendations, and educating customers on relevant ways to buy.
  • Educate customers about repair options and Apple offerings; perform repairs on all Apple products serviced in the store.
  • Support leadership in providing timely resolution to customer escalations.
  • Mentor, resource, and positive role model for Genius Bar team members; contribute to team knowledge by modeling exceptional service and educating others.
  • Identify recurring repair problems and service concerns and provide feedback to Apple.
  • Work with team leaders to ensure efficient and high-quality repairs; use knowledge of hardware and software components to diagnose root causes.
  • Support and educate the broader team by sharing knowledge and insights.
  • Handle, lift, and move merchandise safely.
  • Possibly support customer-facing activities on or off the sales floor.

Qualifications

  • Experience in retail or sales, or related work experience.
  • Visual inspection and fine motor skills to safely perform hardware repairs.
  • Experience Troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a customer service environment.
