Customer Engineer
About the role
Role focused on ensuring successful installation and early adoption of Just Appraised products for local government customers, acting as the product-solution owner across Sales, Implementation, and Customer Success to architect and deliver tailored integrations and workflows.
Responsibilities
- Drive Product-Solution Ownership: end-to-end product-solution owner for each customer installation, managing scope and new requests during implementation.
- Customer Engagement & Technical Discovery: engage with prospective customers during Sales to understand operational needs, technical environments, and integration landscapes with third-party vendors.
- Architect Custom Solutions: design tailored solutions using Just Appraised products to optimize workflows and assess feasible integration approaches based on customer infrastructure and data access.
- Scoping & Documentation: define expected product functionality and craft Statements of Work with detailed software and configuration specs; document integration dependencies and infrastructure requirements.
- Manage Expectations: set timelines and cost implications for custom features; identify technical risks early.
- Product Expertise & Enhancement: maintain expert knowledge of core product functionality and contribute to product improvements.
- Cross-Functional Launch Coordination: collaborate with Sales, Implementation Engineering, and Customer Success on launches, including stand-ups, kickoff, training, and UAT.
- Vendor & Partner Navigation: coordinate with third-party vendors during implementation and navigate constraints to find viable paths forward.
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in a related role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with systems integration, APIs, data movement between systems
- Travel availability: 10-15 business days per quarter (approximately 15-20% annually)
