About the role

Leader to improve software development and testing processes for Apple Intelligence platform. Responsible for managing developer tools and quality engineering teams, aligning with platform components, roadmap, and resource planning. Focus on data-driven decisions to improve developer and customer experience, and on delivering platforms, services, and support.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and providing leadership for a developer tools and quality engineering team, partnered with teams delivering platform components for Apple Intelligence
  • Contributing to roadmap, platform strategy, resource planning, and ownership of delivery of platforms, services, and support
  • Measuring and improving the software development lifecycle through direct and indirect leadership
  • Communicating project status to leads and executives, presenting in program sponsorship reviews, and giving product demos
  • Fostering relationships across Apple and facilitating communication between cross-divisional groups
  • Hiring, mentoring, and providing technical leadership (including ML) to the team
  • Driving data-driven decisions to continuously improve developer experience and customer experience for thousands of developers and hundreds of millions of customers
  • Proven ownership of large cross-functional and multi-team projects
  • Managing multiple teams including other managers
  • Ensuring quality, automation, and efficiency in development workflows

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 15+ years of professional engineering experience
  • 10+ years of building and managing engineering teams
  • Experience managing multiple teams including other managers
  • Passion for Quality, Automation, and Efficiency
  • Proven track record of delivering infrastructure and developer-focused tools and automation
  • Demonstrated ownership of large cross-functional and multi-team projects
  • Direct experience managing project status and expectations with stakeholders
  • Proven technical leadership (including ML experience), hiring, education, and team mentorship
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
