About the role

Role focused on defining and managing RF requirements for Apple devices and use cases, driving 3GPP RF specifications, and exploring RF requirements for 6G technologies within Apple’s RF system engineering and architecture group.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the RF Design, Antenna, Carrier, and regulatory teams to develop RF requirements for 6G cellular technology features
  • Be responsible for RF requirements and features in Apple’s cellular platforms and products
  • Participate in 3GPP RAN4 and drive practical and product-driven innovation into the 3GPP standard

Qualifications

  • BSEE required.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in RF, including direct expertise in transmitter, receiver architectures, and system design.
  • In-depth knowledge of cellular radio standards (GSM, UMTS, LTE, NR), regulatory requirements, and carrier requirements including their implications on overall radio architectures and RF system design.
  • Experience in RF roadmap definition including ecosystem and 3GPP scoping towards RF requirements definition
