About the role

Lead the QA function within the connectivity, cellular and satellite group, defining high quality standards and fostering a culture of rigorous, scalable quality assurance across radio technologies. Manage and mentor a team of QA engineers, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive quality in embedded wireless systems at Apple.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with engineering and program management teams
  • Make strategic technical product decisions that positively affect the engineering team’s ability to deliver embedded technologies
  • Provide employees career-development opportunities and maintain an ongoing constructive feedback loop
  • Inspire innovation and technical growth in employees through hands-on mentoring
  • Establish and maintain a high bar for product quality and introduce innovation for product features
  • Lead investigation efforts post product launch
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver quality across radio technologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • 8+ years leading a QE team with experience delivering large-scale projects including software features and new platforms
  • Proven excellence in leading investigation efforts post product launch
  • Proficient understanding of the Bluetooth protocol suite
  • Excellent analytical and debugging skills
  • Master’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • 12+ years of experience in cellular, satellite, WiFi/BT testing with deep understanding of SW/FW validation and software development cycles
  • Hands-on experience building, deploying and updating test beds
  • Strong experience in system-level testing of radio co-existence (e.g., Cellular, Satellite, WiFi) in embedded devices
  • Clear communication across multiple projects and teams; collaborative work style
  • Highly organized, creative, motivated, and results-driven
  • Proficiency with wireless protocol suites
