About the role

Role in the HWT CAD team within Apple’s Silicon Technologies group to enhance and maintain automation systems for analysis and QA, and to advance AI applications serving CAD and design teams. Focus on gathering requirements, integrating components, and driving innovation through frontier tech projects and proofs-of-concept while collaborating across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance and maintain the automation system used for analysis and QA
  • Develop and support existing AI applications that serve CAD and design teams
  • Drive innovation through frontier technology projects and proof-of-concepts
  • Gather requirements and integrate various components to ensure high-quality results
  • Create detailed specifications and project plans and execute initiatives through partnerships with CAD and design teams across multiple sites
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders and align technical solutions with business requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement of BS + 3-6 years of relevant industry experience
  • Programming skills and working experience in Python, Java, or C++
  • Software engineering experience with exposure to modular, object-oriented design principles and familiarity with industry-standard development processes
  • Foundational understanding of GenAI and its potential applications
  • Demonstrates ownership and collaborative, hands-on approach to quality across projects
  • Curiosity and creative problem-solving mindset
  • Exposure to or academic/project experience developing AI-powered applications
  • Familiarity with or interest in agentic AI concepts and systems
  • Willingness to contribute to and learn about model evaluation pipelines and annotation programs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
