About the role

Senior software engineer on the Intelligence Platform Team responsible for designing and building the platform used to bring intelligence to Apple’s applications and services. Focused on ML systems, LLMs, and Generative AI, collaborating across Apple to train, qualify, deploy, and serve models, and to design APIs and architectures that scale to hundreds of teams and millions of users.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with teams across Apple on training, qualifying, deploying, and serving models
  • Designing and refining systems and APIs for Machine Learning and Generative AI
  • Understanding and adapting new model architectures to constraints of their execution environments
  • Working with leadership across Apple to define policy
  • Bringing industry leading research to hundreds of millions of people using Apple products every day

Qualifications

  • Excellent software design, problem solving and debugging skills
  • Background architecting and building data or machine learning platforms
  • Experience building on LLMs or other generative models
  • Proven ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply cutting-edge research into tangible applications
  • Deep understanding of multi-threaded programming and synchronization
