SWE Fellow - Human Frontier Collective (UK)
About the role
Fully remote 1099 independent contractor opportunity (approx. six months, potential extension) to design, evaluate, and interpret advanced generative AI systems as an HFC Fellow, collaborating with AI labs and Scale’s research team.
Responsibilities
- Collaborative Work: Design complex, domain-specific problems and datasets to rigorously evaluate AI models and provide expert insights to improve accuracy, reasoning, and performance.
- HFC Community: Join a supportive, interdisciplinary network of innovators and thought leaders committed to frontier AI across domains.
- Contribute to Research Publications: Co-author technical reports and research papers with Scale’s research team.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering or related technical experience, or equivalent academic experience (e.g., PhD, postdoctoral research, or faculty experience in Computer Science or related field)
- Demonstrated coding proficiency and analytical abilities
- Deep expertise in one or more of the following languages: Python, Java, Rust, Swift, JavaScript, or C++
