About the role

Solutions Engineer role driving pre-sales and technical engagement to connect engineering challenges with AI-driven solutions, primarily in Germany (Munich) with hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities

  • Position NC as a long-term strategic partner and trusted engineering advisor across engineering teams, managers, and VPs
  • Lead structured discovery sessions to identify impact areas, framing technically feasible and commercially grounded use cases
  • Define the AI strategy and technical roadmap for each account, translating NC capabilities into a multi-horizon vision
  • Create and deliver client-tailored demos and presentations grounded in the client's engineering workflows
  • Create and co-own the Statement of Work with a deep understanding of technical building blocks and workflow transformations
  • Prepare and run Steering Committees, connecting engineering challenges to strategic outcomes
  • Drive user adoption and engagement across technical users, managers, and designers
  • Identify upsell and expansion opportunities and shape them into well-scoped proposals
  • Collaborate with Sales, Forward Deployed Engineering, Product and R&D to ensure smooth transitions and inform roadmap priorities

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree (mechanical, aerospace, automotive, industrial, or similar) with solid CAD/CAE workflow understanding
  • Commercially driven with proactive account management and ability to move accounts forward
  • Confident challenger: questions assumptions and guides clients toward better outcomes
  • Outstanding communication: executive conversations, narrative-building, linking engineering problems to strategy
  • Understanding of AI/ML in engineering at conceptual level; ability to create demos/prototypes using AI tools; working knowledge of Python and modern development practices
  • Client-facing experience in pre-sales, solutions consulting, technical account management, or engineering consulting
  • Professional fluency in German and English
