About the role

Engineer in Residence role to build a clinician-supervised, voice-first AI co-facilitator for pediatric group therapy, focusing on participation, pacing, and structured exercises while preserving clinician control and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Own the MVP across real-time voice interaction, therapist UX, session orchestration, data capture, and deployment.
  • Make product and system decisions that keep the AI inside a tightly supervised co-facilitator role.
  • Work with clinicians and pilot partners to test whether the system improves engagement, consistency, and therapist capacity in real sessions.
  • Design for healthcare trust through overrideability, auditability, operational controls, and clear boundaries around what the AI does.
  • Work with AI Fund's build team on the care-model wedge, technical scope, and route from pilots to a standalone provider.

Qualifications

  • Strong full-stack product engineering, especially on real-time voice or interaction-heavy systems.
  • Demonstrated experience building GenAI products where behavior design, control boundaries, safety, and production feedback matter.
  • Product judgment for expert-in-the-loop workflows where the tool assists without pretending to replace licensed professionals.
  • Comfort moving from prototype to real-world pilot under operational and trust constraints.
  • Ability to use AI coding assistants and modern AI tools to accelerate implementation without weakening safety judgment.
  • US work authorization. We are unable to sponsor visas for this role.

Benefits

  • Compensation: $10,000/month for 12 weeks ($30,000 total).
