Staff Commercial Product Manager, Trucking
About the role
Waabi’s Commercial Product team defines and delivers end-to-end commercial products to make autonomous trucking deployable, scalable, and valuable to customers. This role owns critical commercial product workstreams to bring the Waabi Driver to market, defining operating models, service capabilities, partner workflows, and customer-facing requirements to scale from pilots to a broader autonomous trucking network.
Responsibilities
- Own high-impact commercial product workstreams end-to-end (e.g., Command Center / fleet oversight, Life of a Load, launch and land operations, AV hubs and customer launch sites, Waabi Services, partner and ecosystem integration, pilot-to-scale playbooks).
- Define the “how” behind autonomous trucking challenges through process mapping, operating model design, requirements definition, and cross-functional alignment.
- Translate customer, operations, autonomy, and business needs into product requirements and deployment plans.
- Build structured frameworks for site readiness, service design, partner integration, customer onboarding, launch readiness, and operational scalability.
- Create repeatable pilot-to-scale playbooks moving customers, lanes, and sites from pilot to driverless-ready deployments.
- Lead cross-functional workstreams with autonomy, operations, engineering, business development, safety, legal, and external partners.
- Drive workshops with internal teams and external partners, including agenda design and progress tracking.
- Identify key tradeoffs across customer value, autonomy readiness, operational complexity, cost, speed, and long-term scalability.
- Inform partnership requirements and operating models with OEMs, customers, service providers, and facility partners.
- Produce executive-ready decision memos, operating playbooks, and product artifacts.
- Collaborate with engineering and autonomy teams to understand technical constraints, risks, and product implications.
- Communicate clearly with technical, operational, commercial, and executive audiences.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in product management, operations, strategy, or program leadership in a complex technical/operational environment (autonomous vehicles, trucking, freight, logistics, robotics, or other physical-AI deployment)
- Demonstrated experience standing up an operating model from scratch in a physical-world business — services + workflows + tools, not just software
- Track record of designing, launching, or scaling complex B2B products, services, programs, or operating models
- Strong systems thinking and first-principles judgment — able to break ambiguous problems into clear frameworks, requirements, decisions, and execution plans
- Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives without formal authority
- Executive-grade written and verbal communication
- High EQ, low ego, and bias toward ownership and action
Skills
Benefits
- Competitive compensation and equity awards.
- Health and Wellness benefits encompassing Medical, Dental and Vision coverage (for full-time employees only).
- Unlimited Vacation.
- Flexible hours and Work from Home support.
- Daily drinks, snacks and catered meals (when in office).
- Regularly scheduled team building activities and social events both on-site, off-site & virtually.
