Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) within AMD’s Software Product Management for the Data Center GPU Business Unit. Drives customer enablement, documentation, training, and architectures for AMD Instinct GPU clusters and networking in AI and HPC data centers. Bridges engineering detail with sales enablement across customer engagements, training, and field collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Translate internal reference designs for AMD Instinct GPU clusters into customer-ready technical briefs, reference architectures, and deployment guides.
- Articulate system-level value propositions (performance, scalability, networking, power, cooling, and TCO) for use by sales and partners.
- Develop guidance on what to say to customers, including deployment scenarios, sizing, architectural tradeoffs, and design best practices.
- Partner with sales, FAEs, and solutions engineers to ensure consistent messaging for AMD data center GPU cluster solutions.
- Create and maintain enablement assets (pitch decks, whitepapers, FAQs, competitive positioning, architectural overviews).
- Support strategic customer and partner engagements with deep technical context and architectural guidance.
- Design and deliver high-impact technical training for internal audiences (sales, FAEs, solutions engineers) and external audiences (OEMs, ODMs, CSPs, end customers).
- Build modular training content (slides, diagrams, labs, recordings) scalable globally.
- Collaborate with architecture, product management, and engineering teams to align with current and future reference designs and roadmap directions.
- Provide feedback from the field to influence reference architectures, documentation, and enablement priorities.
- Ensure technical accuracy, consistency, and quality across all published materials.
Qualifications
- Experience in technical marketing, systems engineering, solutions architecture, or related role focused on datacenter infrastructure or AI platforms.
- Strong understanding of GPU-based AI clusters, including scale-up and scale-out architectures.
- Hands-on knowledge of datacenter networking (400G/800G Ethernet, RoCE, leaf-spine topologies, rail vs. fat-tree designs).
- Familiarity with power delivery and cooling for high-density racks (air cooling, liquid cooling, rack-level power design).
- Ability to translate complex technical content into clear, sales-ready documentation and presentations.
- Confidence presenting complex technical material in customer-facing settings within a fast-paced, large-scale organization.
- Excellent written communication, presentation, and technical storytelling with attention to detail.
- Experience with OEMs, ODMs, or cloud service providers is a plus.
- Experience with documentation/publishing workflows (Markdown, Read the Docs, Jupyter Notebooks).
- Proficiency with standard productivity and publishing tools for technical documentation and training.
