About the role

Senior/lead Systems Design Engineer role at AMD focusing on design and optimization of software/compilers for MLIR fused models to run on NPU/GPU, with emphasis on system design, debugging, performance optimization, and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement compilers based on MLIR fused model to execute on NPU/GPU effectively
  • Debugging issues found during the system integration to deliver accurate results
  • Optimize the performance, such as fusion and tiling strategies
  • Working with multiple teams, and tracking test execution to make sure all features are validated and optimized on time

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering
  • Programming/scripting skills (e.g. C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python)
  • Debug techniques and methodologies
  • Extensive knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategy
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and pronounced attention to details
  • Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion
