About the role

Proactive Site Reliability Engineer to evolve production ecosystems with a data-driven reliability framework, focusing on observability, automation, and CI/CD reliability to reduce toil and prevent performance bottlenecks from impacting customers.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a next-generation observability and alerting strategy prioritizing high-cardinality data and meaningful signals over noise.
  • Build self-healing systems and automate complex workflows to reduce toil.
  • Partner with development teams to bake reliability into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Identify and mitigate performance bottlenecks before they impact customers.
  • Lead blameless post-mortems and harden the system against future failures.
  • Consult with product teams on service design to improve long-term maintainability.
  • Apply Generative AI tools within SRE and software engineering workflows to accelerate observability, debugging, and triage, with rigorous validation and iteration in production-adjacent contexts.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent professional work experience.
  • Understanding of Linux internals and deep networking expertise (HTTP/2, HTTP/3 (QUIC), HTTPS/TLS); comfortable debugging protocol-level issues and optimizing traffic flow.
  • Experience automating tasks and workflows using Python or Go.
  • Experience configuring and managing modern monitoring suites (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ClickHouse) with high-signal alerting.
  • Knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) to write efficient, performant code and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
  • Practical knowledge of SLIs, SLOs, Error Budgets, Release Management and Incident Management.
  • Experience managing cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) using Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
  • Orchestration: scaling and securing containerized workloads via Kubernetes.
  • Track record of leading blameless post-mortems and applying insights to improve systems.
  • Ability to consult with product teams on service design for maintainability.
  • Proactive mindset towards designing systems to prevent failures rather than just fixing them.
  • Fluency in applying Generative AI tools in SRE/workflows with robust validation in production-adjacent contexts.
