About the role

Network Quality Engineer responsible for ensuring stability, performance, and continuous improvement of Apple’s enterprise network across the EMEIA region. Includes support and design of secure, scalable remote office infrastructure, incident management, performance optimization, documentation, and cross-team collaboration in a fast-paced global environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operational support of network infrastructure solutions, implementation, and optimisation
  • Engage in the future design of next generation network infrastructure to meet long-term business requirements
  • Participate in the design of network remote edge office locations spanning EMEIA (sales offices, engineering locations) and translate business requirements into functional designs
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams on innovative solutions
  • Provide team updates on new solutions and technologies to ensure flawless operational support during transitions
  • Provide clear, concise documentation of designs and solutions
  • Maximise network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with Global Network Architects on optimisation
  • Troubleshoot solutions as part of escalation from Operational Support teams; act as problem or incident manager as appropriate
  • Maintain existing regional and global standards, update standards as technology changes, and enforce standards

Qualifications

  • Background or understanding of network support and operational experience in global multi-site network environments
  • Knowledge of multi-vendor WAN, LAN, Internet, VPN remote access, and firewall technologies
  • Experience with Cisco, Arista, and Palo Alto wired, wireless and firewall product portfolios
  • Clear communication skills (written and oral) for peer and management levels
  • Virtualisation of networking infrastructure (virtual routers, switches, firewalls, and cloud-based solutions)
  • Exceptional documentation skills; ability to develop Proof of Concept plans and results
