About the role

Engineering role in the Panel Process and Optics (PPO) team focused on developing and integrating new manufacturing process technologies for Apple Displays & Touch. Role involves leading process development of advanced key modules from concept through product engineering validation builds, with emphasis on problem solving across technical areas and collaboration with external vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new innovative manufacturing process technologies to solve design challenges affecting future product quality and delivery
  • Serve as a focal point in process development of advanced key process modules from concept/architecture stage through product engineering validation builds
  • Lead projects from early development to high volume production
  • Develop module processes and integrate them in back-end processes of Flat Panel Display & Touch industry or related industries
  • Conduct DOE, data analysis, and SPC control
  • Perform failure mode analysis, root cause investigation, and problem solving for product yield and quality issues
  • Lead documentation, milestone creation, and organization to support project goals
  • Collaborate with external vendors for product manufacturing and support international travel as needed
  • Demonstrate leadership, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree minimum in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science or related field and 3 years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience in leading a project from early development to high volume production
  • Experience in the development of module processes & its integration in back-end processes of Flat Panel Display & Touch industry or other related industries
  • Experience in DOE, data analysis, or SPC control
  • Experience in failure mode analysis, root cause investigation, and problem solving for product yield and quality issue
  • Ph.D. or M.S. degree in Physics, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering in related field preferred
  • Project Management Skills- Excellent data handling, documentation, critical milestone creation, and organization skill
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills and demonstrated leadership ability
  • Ability for International business travel to support project implementation and collaborate with external vendors for product manufacturing
