About the role

Responsible for managing SAP landscapes and databases within Apple’s global SAP environment as part of the SAP Landscape Modernization (SLM) initiative. Global technical role focused on SAP BASIS administration, HANA and Oracle database management, system upgrades, availability, security, and technical enhancements to support Apple's enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and troubleshoot HANA and Oracle databases (minimum 5 years).
  • Provide BASIS support for region-specific and corporate run projects.
  • Participate in 3-4 SAP implementations.
  • Handle High Availability, disaster recovery, system refreshes, and backup mechanisms.
  • Experience with SAP system upgrades, patches, and installations.
  • Coordinate with teams for installation, maintenance and upgrades of HANA systems.
  • Support HANA and Oracle systems throughout project lifecycles.
  • Design and apply appropriate security settings to ensure HANA database integrity.
  • Provide technical upgrades, functional and technical enhancements.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Deliver training and knowledge transfer to the team.
  • Resolve connectivity, web services, and overall SAP solution issues.
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain HANA databases.
  • Proficiency in SAP system performance tuning and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of SAP Basis administration in large environments (preferably SAP Business Suites including S/4 HANA).
  • At least 4 years of HANA administration experience in large environments (preferably running SAP Business Suites).
  • At least 2 years experience in user management, monitoring and troubleshooting of HANA database.
  • Extensive experience in data compression, table partition, and compression techniques.
  • Experience in implementation of S/4 HANA and ability to lead critical issues involving large HANA systems.
  • Ability to take ownership of work activities and drive to conclusion.
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical teams across regions.
