About the role

Senior litigation counsel focusing on artificial intelligence and machine learning (AIML) and online safety disputes, with strategic leadership across cross-functional teams and end-to-end management of complex litigation including consumer class actions and mass torts.

Responsibilities

  • - Formulate and drive litigation strategy for Apple across product areas, not just monitoring outside counsel.
  • - Manage day-to-day progress of complex litigation and coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • - Handle AI/ML and online safety advising and litigation with focus on emerging issues, product liability and consumer protection.
  • - Coordinate with litigation consultants, testifying and economic experts (economics experts a plus).
  • - Demonstrate trial-focused approach and strong executive and collaborative communication, analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

  • - 10+ years of consumer class action or mass tort litigation experience at a major law firm or in-house corporation.
  • - JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.
  • - Experience litigating and counseling AI/ML and online safety disputes.
  • - Experience with litigation consultants and testifying experts; economic experts a plus.
  • - Strong technology interest and aptitude.
  • - Meaningful trial and/or arbitration experience.
  • - Excellent executive and collaborative communication, analytical, organization, and negotiation skills.
